I've seen a lot of kitchen open shelves lately. Around the web, at clients homes, magazines, etc. Although it requires some work to maintain like dusting very often otherwise it gets sticky and also keep it simple and clutter free otherwise it a total mess! I have to say I'm loving the trend. It looks really pretty and gives sophistication to a kitchen. I will definitely consider this option when I have my own house (sigh!).
